A concert inspired by the Epic of Gilgamesh, the most celebrated work from Ancient Mesopotamia that flourished for more than a millennium in Babylonia and Assyria and was transmitted throughout the Middle East. Written and composed by Abed Azrié, the show is a story of a friendship which, born out of rivalry, was forged through perils and exalts in common exploits then unravels painfully in a tragic death. It touches upon a great theme: the hubris of the hero who doesn't know when to stop in his streak of victories and ends up offending the gods.
