The Global Entrepreneurship Congress is an annual gathering of

thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers

and other startup champions from more than 170 countries – all

working to identify new ways of helping founders start and scale new

ventures around the world.

GEC 2019 will feature numerous sessions and networking

opportunities while spotlighting three primary themes:

• ν Global Entrepreneurial Revolution: Investments into early-stage

and growth-stage companies are reaching new highs – not

only in mature startup hubs like Silicon Valley but in hundreds,

if not thousands, of emerging ecosystems around the world.

Sessions will explore innovative approaches to empower

entrepreneurs.

• ν High-Performance Ecosystems: Vibrant, scalable high performing

ecosystems share a common set of characteristics.

Sessions will examine local connectedness, sense of

community, global connectedness and global market reach

while exploring data-driven insights into policies and programs

to stimulate growth.

• ν Inclusive Economies: Entrepreneurship is a positive force that

powers innovation, creates wealth and improves lives but

not everyone has the same opportunity. Sessions will explore

barriers for under-represented groups – such as bias, declining

infrastructure and demographic shifts – and potential solutions

to unleash untapped economic potential.
