Qalali Folk Band is a distinguished Bahraini band that aims to preserve the authentic seafaring traditions and the folkloric arts in Bahrain. This February, the band is presenting a diverse array of performances. Among them is Al-Fajari, a coastal art form traditionally performed on the shores or in special houses (Dar), by pearl divers to entertain themselves after a long fishing season. The performance also features iconic forms of vocal arts, Al-Sout and Al-La’abouni, that are unique to Bahrain.
